Wing Chun (Ving Tsun) Kung Fu
A martial art renowned for its efficiency and close-quarters combat techniques.

Legend holds that Wing Chun Kung Fu was founded by a woman…
Who sought the guidance of a warrior nun named Ng Mui to defend herself against a warlord’s advances. Regardless of the truth behind the legends, the basic premise of this martial art remains true, Wing Chun emphasizes the economy of motion, practicality, and the simultaneous use of attack and defense to provide smaller, weaker, individuals tools for self-defense against a more physically imposing opponent.
Over time, Wing Chun evolved and spread through generations, with various practitioners contributing to its refinement. One of the most significant figures in Wing Chun’s history was Yip Man, the father of our Wing Chun system, who played a pivotal role in bringing this form of traditional kung fu into the modern era. Born in 1893, Yip Man taught openly in Hong Kong during the 1950s until his passing in 1972, breaking from the tradition of secrecy that had shrouded the art. His teachings attracted an array of students, including the legendary Bruce Lee.
Over time, Yip Man’s students and their descendants dispersed worldwide, sharing the art of Wing Chun on a global scale. This expansive lineage embraces diverse perspectives and cultivates an inclusive atmosphere, uniting martial artists into a robust collective. Today, we honor this legacy by upholding the principles of Wing Chun, advancing both its martial philosophy and the bonds of community.
